Mount Dora Christian Earns Sixth Straight District Title

The Mount Dora Christian Bulldogs built up plenty of momentum to take into the 2026 playoffs. After opening the district playoff action with a 15-0 dismantling of Seven Rivers Christian, the Bulldogs notched their second straight shutout with a 12-0 win over the Saint John Lutheran Saints in Thursday’s District 1A-6 title game.

Mount Dora Christian (21-5) celebrates its sixth consecutive district title, dating back to the 2021 season. The Bulldogs also won the regional title to make a run to the state tournament in 2021.

After starter Brody Robbins worked his way out of trouble for a scoreless top of the first, his offense went right to work with five runs in the bottom half of the inning. Britton Wise and Jake Hair connected for back-to-back home runs to start the first with a bang, and the offense kept clicking from there. Jacob Carlton later added an RBI single and also scored on a sacrifice bunt from Robbins, and Alex Wise chipped in an RBI single that plated Weston Barrett.

The Bulldogs never looked back. Britton Wise and Jake Hair both connected for another home run, and Weston Barrett had an RBI double.
